DATELY / BUILT FOR REUSE IN FINANCE & FP&A

Clean invoice dates.
Build a cash forecast.

I built and published dately. It is a public Python library that anyone can install and use in their own workflows.

Install dately from PyPIpython -m pip install dately
WHY IT MATTERS IN FINANCE

Turn inconsistent invoice dates into a usable cash schedule, or turn everyday language into reporting and planning dates. Try the live examples below, including a request from the CFO’s inbox, to see where dately fits in finance.

LIVE FINANCE / FP&A EXAMPLE

From mixed dates to a collection schedule.

Review four sample invoices. dately resolves the dates; the surrounding Python adds payment terms and groups expected receipts for a cash forecast.

YOUR SOURCE DATA

Edit any value. Results update automatically after you pause typing.

SAMPLE INVOICES / EDIT THE SOURCE DATES
$12,500.00 USD
$8,400.00 USD
$6,700.00 USD
$4,000.00 USD

Amounts are illustrative. Expected receipts assume payment on the stated calendar-day terms, without weekend or holiday adjustments. Relative date expressions use the Python server clock; the planning date only sets the cash window.

THE FINANCE-READY REVIEW
Preparing the live Python example…

What I built: dately parses dates and date expressions. Finance application: this Python demo validates individual invoice dates, adds calendar-day terms and groups the resulting cash dates. Ambiguous dates and ranges are held for review.
